THE IMPOSSIBLE

Assuming you can simply walk out of MIA arrivals and grab a rideshare without entering a chaotic, smog-filled combat zone of honking minivans and confused tourists.
We are in no way affiliated, associated, authorized, endorsed by, or in any way officially connected with the Possible conference, its organizers, or any of its partners. We are just Miami locals who hate seeing out-of-towners pay $35 for a watery margarita. You're here for a conference about what's possible. We're here to keep you grounded in reality.
Welcome to Miami. It's beautiful, it's chaotic, and it's a city that will gladly chew up your itinerary and your wallet if you don't know what you're doing. To help you survive, we've broken down your week into THE IMPOSSIBLE (what to avoid at all costs) and THE POSSIBLE (how the locals actually do it).

Assuming you can simply walk out of MIA arrivals and grab a rideshare without entering a chaotic, smog-filled combat zone of honking minivans and confused tourists.
Arrivals is a trap. Take the elevator up to Departures and order your ride there. Less traffic, faster pickup.
Don't just rely on one. Have Uber, Lyft, and Alto ready. Pricing swings wildly based on the minute.
Flying into Fort Lauderdale? Take the Brightline high-speed train straight into downtown Miami. It features leather seats and a bar cart. Executive leisure achieved.
Renting a car for a convention week is an act of self-sabotage. Parking is predatory, valet lines take 40 minutes, and Miami drivers treat red lights as suggestions.
They are here, they are weird, and they don't yell at you. Good for sterile, point-A-to-point-B travel.
Scooters are fine for short hops off the main drag. Do not ride them on major causeways unless you have excellent health insurance.
The scenic route. Slower, but you avoid the gridlock on the bridges. Pair with a polarized pair of sunglasses.
Navigate the tiers below based on your influence, capital, and patience.
Skip the 2-hour wait at Joe's Stone Crab main dining; go to Joe's Take Away.
THE IMPOSSIBLE: Believing a hotel concierge can 'squeeze you in' at the hottest spots.
Skip loud lounges.

It's a loud, crowded trap. Sand flies, speaker wars, and zero personal space. A tactical error for any serious operative.
Go in the morning. The water is flatter, the heat is lower, and the crowds are absent.
The beach gets significantly better and less crowded the further north you go (23rd St and above).
Ask your hotel if they have a partnership with a beach service provider. You don't want to be fighting for sand space with your own towel. Secure infrastructure before deployment.
Overpriced, high-rent traps with mediocre food. Neon bait for the uninformed.
Sidewalk cafes serving frozen food at premium prices.
Skip the ticketed area. Just walk the surrounding warehouse streets for better, raw art and local vibes.
Save the 'experience' spots for sightseeing, not dining. Execute culinary operations in designated safe zones:

The universal confirmation.
The negotiation rhythm.
The daily struggle.
Small. Sweet. Intense. The fuel.
